Triva: Who is Yardén’s favorite Disney princess?

Answer: Belle from Beauty and the Beast! And now Yardén has the honor of playing her in a wonderfully reimagined and immersive production with Area Stage Company in Miami, FL! She could not be more thrilled to bring Disney magic to life in this enchanting production, currently running until August 28th at the Adrienne Arsht Center in Downtown Miami. Tickets can be found here!

Yardén is not a morning person…

So she absolutely loved taking a nice nap during every performance of Sleeping Beauty at the Argyle Theatre! All jokes aside, Yardén had a great time playing the title role of Princess Melisande in this charming adaptation of the classic fairy tale. She is so grateful to have returned to the Argyle and to have worked with such a wonderful cast and crew!

Yardén returns to the stage and the yellow brick road!

After a very long year and a half of quarantine, Zoom, and singing by herself at home, Yardén was thrilled to finally be up on a stage again, this time at the Argyle Theatre on Long Island. She loved the challenge of understudying both Dorothy and the Wicked Witch, all while singing and dancing in the ensemble! The Wizard of Oz is a special show for Yardén, as it was one of her first musicals in high school. Hooray for live theatre!

A New York Debut!

Yardén was honored to both direct and sing in Showpeople Theatre Collective’s All Together Now, her first live theatre experience since the COVID-19 pandemic began. This show also marked her New York City performing debut! Yardén had a wonderful time singing Meadowlark from The Baker’s Wife and You Could Drive a Person Crazy from Company, as well as participating in several group numbers. The full event can be found here!

Yardén embraces her pop star dreams in Women Run Pop: The Basement Sessions

Spearheaded by Mario Houle, Women Run Pop: The Basement Sessions is a filmed pop concert featuring all the women in the MT class of 2021 at The Hartt School. Yardén had an absolute blast singing Woman by Kesha. You can find the full concert here!

Yardén bewitches (or does she?) in Salem, a new musical

Yardén participated in a workshop of Salem at the Goodspeed Festival of New Musicals, playing the role of Mary Easty. With music, lyrics, and book by Kira Stone, this new musical tells the story of the Salem Witch Trials with a modern twist. This workshop was directed by Sarna Lapine and music directed by Fred Lassen.
